Hi, I'm Christian!
I started my Dungeons & Dragons obsession after being roped into a game by my friend on a chilly and wet Oregon evening.
From then on I immediately fell in love with the game, creating characters in my free time I wasn't actually going to play, developing a D&D world, and trying to think of fun ways to cosplay or improv during our new games!
Since then we are still playing the same campaign from 8 years ago that we started in college with my favorite PC, Mooch Faewatch (Think Fonzie meets the Outsiders and you've got the character Mooch!) While I never had a knack for theatrical training, I found D&D was my outlet to bring new and interesting characters to life through voices and individualized quirks. If I had the budget and time there would be a multitude of costumes showing up in my games!
Especially since the COVID-19 boom of D&D players, we are seeing an influx of people getting into the game for the first time and bringing in their imaginations into the games that we all love.
With that being said I have a personal interest in understanding what makes people tick, inspires their games, how they interact with other players, and so much more that adds to the complexity of humanity.
Like so many hobbies, D&D and other TTRPG's only thrive by the people who play them and if we all can create an awesome community like Plus One, then we can grow the enjoyment and interaction with new friends and old!
By trade, I am a fundraiser for Cancer and Diabetes research, patient care, and medical education throughout the continental US. Given my career, I've adapted to a very active and extroverted personality and that joy has translated to my D&D campaigns when I get to meet new and interesting individuals to hear their stories (both in game and real life) and learn about them on a personal level!
I currently reside in Colorado and when I am not DM'ing i'm playing the next big AAA video game title, watching college sports (Sco Ducks), boxing, or exploring the many museums nearby.
