Tales of Eoa - Greystock’s Notes, Session 0

Creating a homebrew campaign can be intimidating for a DM. But the freedom and collaboration homebrewing D&D 5e allow outweighs the added difficulty of developing overarching plotlines, conflicts, and settings. There’s something special about having your personal stamp on the world you and your friends are making together.

Almost all of the games that I have run have been homebrewed for the most part. While they have usually been set in a version of Faerun or another established world (albeit with some artistic license taken), the homebrew we are about to embark on in this campaign is truly written from scratch. Enter the world of Eoa.

The Setting

Our adventure starts in Harborton, a large city in the Kingdom of Trimblemore within the greater world of Eoa. Built along a sheer rock cliff on the ocean, the city is set up much like a spiral staircase, with rising elevation and rising wealth.

As one of the four major cities within Trimblemore, the city is bustling with commerce, mystery, and hopeful adventures looking for a fresh start.

All of us here at Plus One To Gaming are collaborating to create Eoa as we go, and we invite you to partake in filling out the world details, too! You can see the framework of Eoa on our WorldAnvil page. Feel free to leave comments and suggestions as we shape this world together.

The Quest

The University within Harborton has asked the Adventuring Guild to assist in retrieving a lost document. Short-staffed and overworked, the University couldn’t possibly spare anyone to go grab it, as simple a task as it is. It just so happens to Bucky to be the perfect mission for Omega Squad…
